John Luckett joined CalTex in June 2020 as the Executive Vice President of Sales. John will be primarily focused on leading and growing CalTex agency business. John has worked in the automotive industry for 35 years, beginning at his family’s Ford Lincoln Mercury dealership. He then worked at CarMax, and later served almost twenty years as VP and Sr. VP for the Warranty Group in several of their distribution channels including Resource Agent Group, First Extended, and Resource Dealer Group. Most recently, John headed up his own agency while also serving as a Managing Director at Portfolio. During his long career in the automotive industry, John has served on many industry advisory boards and has been a regular speaker at industry events and conferences. He has developed a unique expertise in managing F&I Agency relationships. John and his family reside in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He and his wife have 4 children.
